Tonight, 1Dec09, I was officially initiated into the Phi Alpha Delta law fraternity’s pre-law chapter at the University of Kansas. I’ve been participating all semester long, going to the chapter meetings and all that. It’s been a positive experience, and I’m looking forward to continuing my participation. I’ve learned a lot of interesting things at the lectures and forums they’ve hosted.
After the initiation I walked from the Kansas Union down the hill to The Wheel, where we had an after party type mixer. On the way I called my sister, who is also a member, and we joked about secret handshakes and stuff. It’s also cool to share something like that with my sister, who is someone I respect a lot. It would be even cooler if I could get her excellent grades and follow her into actual law school. We’ll see.
